My research and teaching have developed along two main lines of interest: cities and digital technologies. In 2013, I joined a group of international scholars led by Professor Mario Biagiogli (UC-Davis), to study Russian computer scientists. We currently are conducting interviews with programmers and software developers. My passion for cities, architecture and infrastructure informed my published research on public spaces and urban identities. It motivated me to develop, together with my academic partner and Co-Director Enric Massip-Bosch (BarcelonaTECH and EMBA studio, Barcelona) and establish in St. Petersburg an MA Program in Advanced Architecture 'Building the City Now'‚Äč, supported by Institute for Urbanism Sreda. I share my time between University of Amsterdam's Department of Sociology, and European University at St. Petersburg.
